Getting the Most Out of Your Video

So, you’ve received the download link for your video, now what? This web page walks you through the process of downloading your video, uploading it to social media, and how to get the most out of your video.

Once you have submitted your video, you will receive an email when it is ready to download. Follow the link within the email to access the video.

You may notice the file downloading in the background. After the files are downloaded, go to the downloads folder on your computer. Here, you will find the video file, ending in [dot]mp4.

Sharing on Facebook

Next, let’s look at how to post your video on Facebook.

First, visit your practice’s Facebook page. You should see a “Create Post” section. If you don’t see this section, it likely means you don’t have the appropriate permissions to post on your practice’s page. Contact your page administrator to request access.

In the “Create Post” section, select the “Photo/Video” button. This will open up a file browser where you can select the video you would like to upload. The screen will then update to show your video, and fields for title, description, and tags. Create your own titles, descriptions, and tags.

After adding in the information, press “next” to select your thumbnail. Select an image from your video that will encourage viewers to click play.

You can now decide to publish or schedule your post for another day or time.

Here are some ideas for how to best use your video:

Social Media Post
Share your video on social media just as you would other content. We recommend boosting the post by at least $10-20 to ensure it receives some initial traction. Also, tag the individuals included in the video so that they are sure to see it and potentially share it.
YouTube Channel
If you have an active YouTube channel, post your video there too!
Digital Newsletters
If you publish a practice newsletter, include your video in your next issue. Include a thumbnail for the video in the email that links to a page on your website with the video embedded. This will direct traffic to your website and keep your web developers happy.
